Preheat the oven to 160C degree. Line baking tray with parchment paper/baking sheet. Use an electric beater to beat the butter, vanilla extract and sugar until soft- creamy and combined.
Now, add sifted flour while beating on low until combined.
Next, Turn dough onto a floured surface. use your hand and knead the dough for 5 minutes and bring together to form a dough.
You can add grated orange zest or dried thyme leaves to the dough for adding flavour.
Divide the dough into two portions. wrap in plastic and chill the dough in the fridge until firm (for about 30 minutes)..
After 30 minutes, roll the dough out on a floured surface.
Place it on the parchment paper and cut into rectangles, strips- round/triangle orany shape you like such as flower shape.
Prik with fork or toothpick.Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden. Then transfer to a wire sheet to cool.
Topping with a sprinkle of white sugar.
