Bread Basket نان سبدی

Today I baked a special bread, you know what that is? It is a bread basket or a basket of dough. It is cute, and edible. These baskets are wonderful idea for party time. You can use it as a basket for Easter eggs, breads, pastries, fresh herbs or whatever you want .

For creating these beauties we would need 2 simple ingredients: puff pastry and egg yolk. Oh I forgot, we would need bowl in any size: large, medium or small.

Ingredients

  • puff pastry
  • One egg yolk
  • Tools
  • Bowl
  • Foil

Method

Preheat the oven at 180C degree. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Now we should prepare bowl. You can use metal or any heat resistance ceramic bowls.

Take foil aluminium and cover the bowl with foil. Grease all over the bowl with veggie oil. Foil, will prevent the dough to stick to the bowl, otherwise our dough basket will break.

If you want to use a large bowl, use 2 piece of foil. Place puff pastry on a floured surface. Roll it out longer. Use a pizza cutter or a knife and Cut the dough into strips.

Place dough strips crosswise (as you see in the photos). Trim the edges. Press down the bottom by your hand or a glass or a bowl for the stability of the dough.

Next, we start to weave a pastry basket. Take one dough strip and weave your strips under and over each other and attach the ends together until to form your basket.

Press the dough on bottom edge. Place the bowl on the baking tray. Brush it with egg yolk. Place the basket in the oven to bake for 30 minutes.Now baskets are ready. Take them out from the oven and allow to cool down. Take out the bowl and the very easily remove the foil. 

Voila, look at these gorgeous bread baskets.

نان سبدی

سلام دوستان امیدوارم که لحظات زندگی اتون هر روز بهتر از دیروز باشه. امروز یک نوع سبدی خوردنی درست کردم که بنظرم خیلی زیبا و ایده ی جالبی بود. این نان‌های سبدی رو در یونان و کشورهای اروپای شرقی در مراسم عید پاک یا ایستر درست میکنن.

این سبدهای خوردنی ایده ی فوق‌العاده‌ای هستن برای مهمانی‌هاو دورهمی های فامیلی و دوستانه. میشه داخل اونها رو با انواع نان – کیکشیرینی یا تخم مرغ شکلاتی پر کرد. خلاصه سبدهای خیلی شیک و قشنگی میشن و حتم دارم که می تونید مهمونهاتون رو با این نان‌های سبدی کلی ذوق‌زده کنید.

برای درست کردن این نان سبدی فقط نیاز به خمیر هزارلایه و زرده تخم مرغ هست. و اینکه کمی هنر بافتنی بلد باشید 🙂

مواد لازم

خمیر هزار لایه یا پاف پیستری

یک عدد زرده تخم مرغ

کاسه در هر اندازه

فویل آلومینیوم

طرز تهیه

فر را روی حرارت 180 درجه سانتیگراد گرم کنید. روی سطح سینی فر را با کاغذ آشپزی پوشانده و کنار بگذارید. حالا برای شکل دادن به نان سبدی نیاز به کاسه داریم. می تونید از هر کاسه و در هر سایز و اندازه‌ای استفاده کنید.

کاسه را سرو ته کرده و روی کاسه ی مورد نظرتان را با ورق آلومینیوم بپوشانید(مطابق تصاویر). اگر از کاسه بزرگ استفاده کردید از دوورق آلومینیومی استفاده کیند. همه جای فویل را روغنی و چرب کنید.با اینکار در مراحل پخت خمیر به کاسه نخواهد چسبید.

حالا 🙂 خمیر هزارلایه را روی سطح آردی قرار دهید و با وردنه آن را باز کنید. با یک کاتر پیتزا یا کارد خمیر را به صورت نوارهای طولی و باریک برش دهید( مطابق تصاویر).

ابتدااز بالای کاسه شروع میکنیم. یک نوار را مطابق تصویرروی کاسه بگذارید و بعد سه یا چهار نوار خمیر دیگری به صورت ضربدری قرار دهید.

اگر طول نوارهای خمیری زیاد بود انتهای آنهاراببرید( مطابق تصویر).

حالا نوبت بدنه ی کاسه هست: یک نوار خمیری را برداشته و به روش یکی از رو یکی از زیر خمیر را دور بدنه کاسه ببافید و دو سر خمیر را بهم بچسبانید. با دنبال کردن تصاویر به راحتی می‌توانید روش بافت را ملاحظه کنید.

بعد نوار دوم را برداشته و دوباره یکی از زیر یکی از رو خمیر را دور کاسه بپیچید.این کار را ادامه دهید تا به انتهای کاسه برسید.سطح سبد را زرده تخم مرغ بزنید .

کاسه را داخل سینی فر از قبل آماده شده قرارداده وبگذارید به مدت 30 دقیقه بپزد. وقتی سطح سبد طلایی شد آن را از فر خارج کنید. اجازه دهید خنک شود . اول کاسه را خارج کنید و بعد به آرامی فویل را از داخل سبد بیرون بیاورید.

Roses Carrot- Zucchini Tart

This colourful tart will get all attention at a party. I love the contrast between colours in this dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 large green zucchini
  • 6 orange- purple and yellow carrots
  • 350g ricotta cheese
  • 100g mozzarella cheese or Feta cheese
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried mint or oregano
  • Salt to taste

How to make it?????

we need a tart pan. Now unfold puff pastry, just big enough to cover the pan. Trim the excess. Place a piece of parchment paper in as shown. Place some beans on it, in order to avoid moving the paper.

Place it in the oven and allow to bake on 200C degree for 15-20 minutes. Once it is baked, let it cool down.

 

Now, in a large bowl whisk the eggs, then add ricotta and mozzarella cheese, dried herb, nutmeg, pepper, salt and mix all ingredients well together.

Preheat the oven to 200C degree. Slice zucchinis and carrots lengthwise and very thin.

Now, spread the cheese mixture in the baked puff pastry. Now we are going to make rose shape rolls. So for making a rose shape roll you would need 3 slices of zucchini or carrot Then take one slice of zucchini or carrot and roll it. Take second slice and rolling around the first one.

Place each one of the rose buds among the cheese mixture. Carry on with remaining of the ingredients and repeat the process and place each one next to the other one.

Once you finished rolling , spray some vegetable oil on rolled vegetables. Transfer the tart pan into the oven and allow to bake for 45- 50 minutes.

Napoleon Cake

Napoleon cake is known worldwide with different names such as: Mille feuille, custard slices, napoleon.

In Iran it is called Napoleoni . This delicious pastry, is made by crispy layers of puff pastry with a rich cream filling and garnishing the top with powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • Ingredients for filling
  • 300 g soft butter
  • 300 g custard cream
  • 10 g white sugar
  • 1 tsp orange extract

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200C.

Roll out the puff pastry and Place onto the tray lined with parchment paper. Using a fork and pierce all over the pastry. Bake the dough for about 20-25 minutes.

 

Meanwhile, prepare the filling: Place 300g soft butter with 10 g sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisking until fluffy. Then gradually add custard to the butter, half a cup at a time and orange extract. Keep whipping until light and fluffy.

 

Once the dough is ready, remove from the oven and cool. Cut each pastry into half. Crumble one piece of puff pastry and set aside.

 

Spread butter cream over the first cake layer. Then, place second layer on the top. Flat side facing up. Press gently and spread cream and continue layering. Cover the top and sides with cream.

Sprinkle crumbled pastry over the top and sides of the cake. Sprinkle powdered sugar top of the cake and cut it into pieces.

Apple strudel

This is a quick recipe for a crispy sweet and spiced apple strudel for a cold evening with a cuppa tea .

Ingredients

400g apple

1 lemon zest

1tsp lemon juice

1 sheet puff pastry

140g sugar

80g raisins

70g almond flakes

1 ½ tsp cinnamon powder

1tbsp flour

1tsp vanilla extract

100g unsalted butter

1 egg beaten

3tbsp milk

Icing sugar for dusting

Method

Preheat the oven to 190C degree.

Peel the apples and cut into the small pieces. Melt the butter in a pan. Add diced apples, lemon juice, lemon zest and raisins. Sauté for 5 minutes and remove from the heat.

In a bowl, combine the sugar with flour, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Stir well. Add it and almond flakes to the apple mixture and combine well.

Roll out the puff pastry and place the filling in the centre and fold the pastry. Seal the ends as well. with a sharp knife, give few  thin  shallow cut on top of the pastry.Mix egg with milk and brush pastry with egg-milk .

Sprinkle flour on baking tray. Transfer the pastry to the tray and bake it for 40 minutes until golden and crisp.

Served with custard and a cuppa tea or coffee.

Puff Pastry Cream Horns

Crunchy cream horns very easy and fun to make. Result is just impressive 🙂

Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry
Whipping cream
3 Tbsp sugar
Powdered sugar

Method
Preheat the oven at 180C.
Place puff pastry on the floured surface and unfold puff pastry sheet.
Roll the pastry and using a cutter to slice the dough into strips.

Rub a little butter around the cone horn molds. Wrap each dough strip around the mold.

 


Place the rolled molds on a baking sheet. Bake at 180C for 20 minutes or until it is golden.
Once rolled dough ready. Let cool.


Direction for preparing cream: after whipping cream, add sugar and blend well.
Using a tea spoon and fill in pastry cones with cream. Dip into chopped fruits and dried nut.
Dust with powder sugar.

Apple Rose Shaped Cakes

This dessert has beautiful rose shape and preparing of it is so fun.

Ingredients
2-3 red apples
1 lemon
1 sheet puff pastry
Honey or jam
Powdered sugar

Preparation
Cut the apples in half, trim off the ends and remove core of apple.
Cut each half into thin slices. Put the sliced apples in a bowl, top it with lemon juice and cover it with water. Place it in microwave and cook it for 3 minutes ( or in a pot on the cooker).When cooked drain out the water and let it cool.
Sprinkle some flour on working table. Put on sheet puff pastry and with rolling pin stretch it. Cut the pastry into 6 strips. Take one stripe and spread on it honey or jam. Place the apple slices on the dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon, and fold the dough in half and carefully roll it up. Place them in lightly buttered cup cake tray. And bake at 190C for 35 minutes. Once they cooked sprinkle powdered sugar on them and serve it.

 

Puff Pastry Pizza

This pizza is full of colour and has amazing taste. It’s delicious, easy and very versatile recipe.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry dough
  • 5 tbsp tomato paste
  • ½ red or green bell pepper, sliced thinly
  • 3 tbsp green olives, chopped
  • 1 small onion, sliced thinly
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsps Raisins
  • 1-2 rosemary stalks, finely chopped
  • Salt- pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or grape seed oil

Preparation
Preheat oven at 200 C.
Heat the oil in large frying pan and add the bell peppers, onion, garlic, raisins, rosemary, salt and pepper and fry gently for 10 minutes or until they have softened , then leave them to cool.
Grease baking tray with olive oil. Place a puff pastry sheet in the tray. Spread the tomato paste top of the pastry. Sprinkle fried mixture over the pastry. Bake pizza for 20 minutes and until edges are golden.
Cut into small squares and serve this delightful pizza.
