Potato soup سوپ سیب زمینی

With few ingredients you can create a lush and delicious home made comfort potato soup.




  • 400 g potatoes, peeled and diced into small pieces
  • 100 g onion, finely chopped
  • 4-5 spring onions ( green part)
  • 900 ml vegetable stock
  • 120 ml cold milk
  • 50 g butter
  • Salt and chilli flakes to taste



Melt the butter in a pan. Add chopped potatoes and onion. Sauté them until softened. Then remove them to a pot. Add chopped spring onions, vegetable stocks, milk and season with salt and chilli flakes. Gently stir and allow to cook for 15 minutes.

Purée the soup, garnish it with freshly chopped herbs and drops of olive oil and serve it.


سوپ سیب زمینی

یک سوپ بسیار ساده و ارزان که با استفاده از چند سبزی که همیشه در هر منزلی موجود هست یک سوپ فوق‌العاده خوشمزه با طعمی سوپ رستورانهای لوکس.

مواد لازم

چهار صد گرم سیب زمینی پوست گرفته و خرد شده

صد گرم پیاز خرد شده

چهار – پنج عدد پیازچه: فقط قسمت سبز پیازچه

نهصد میلی لیتر عصاره ی سبزی

صدوبیست میلی لیتر شیر سرد

پنجاه گرم کره

نمک و فلفل به میزان لازم

طرز تهیه

کره را در تابه آب کنید. سیب زمینی ها و پیاز خرد شده را در کره تفت دهید تا کمی نرم شوند ( حدود10 دقیقه). سپس سیب زمینی و پیاز سرخ شده را داخل یک قابلمه بریزید. پیازچه های خرد شده – عصاره ی سبزیجاتشیر و نمک و فلفل را به مواد داخل قابلمه اضافه کرده و به آرامی هم بزنید و بگذارید برای 15 دقیقه سوپ بپزدو

سپس با غذاساز سوپ را به صورت پوره در آورده و زمان سرو کمی روغن زیتون و سبزی خرد شده روی سوپ ریخته و سرو کنید.

I share my recipes in Farsi/English along with step by step photos of preparation. I take all my own pictures. I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
