Rainbow cookies

I just loved my rainbow cookies. Very quick, easy recipe for super cute cookies. There was feast of colour in my kitchen.




3 cups all purpose flour

¾ cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup softened butter

1tbsp vanilla extract

2 eggs

¾ tsp baking soda

Food colouring

½ tsp salt




Preheat the oven to 175C degree.

In a bowl with butter add white and brown sugar. Blend until is fluffy. Then add eggs and vanilla extract. Blend until is smooth.

Add flour, salt and baking soda to the mixture and mix all together. Once the dough is mixed, divide it into 4-5 bowls.

Dye the dough by adding drops of food colouring to each dough.

Cover the baking tray with baking paper. Using a cookie scoop and take a portion of dough and pop it on tray. You can have one colour cookie OR mix different doughs together. Pop Smarties and chocolate chips top of cookies.

Bake them in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.

They will stay fresh for a minimum a week and you can also freeze them for sometimes later.

بیسکویت رنگین کمانی

امروز بیسکویت های رنگین کمانی درست کردم. اینقدر درست کردنش سریع – آسونه و فوق‌العاده قشنگن. تو آشپزخونه جشنواره ی رنگ برپاشده بود

مواد اولیه

سه پیمانه آرد همه منظوره

سه چهارم پیمانه شکر سفید

یک پیمانه شکر قهوه ای

یک پیمانه کره ی نرم و بدون نمک

یک ق غ عصاره ی وانیل

دو عدد تخم مرغ

سه چهارم ق چ بیکینگ سودا

رنگ مجاز خوراکی

نصف ق چ نمک

طرز تهیه

فر را روی حرارت 175 درجه ی سانتیگراد گرم کنید.

داخل کاسه ی همزن کره را با شکر سفید و قهوه ای مخلوط کردم تا یک‌دست شود. تخم مرغ ها را همراه با عصاره وانیل اضافه و همه ی مواد را با هم همزدم تا مخلوط شدن.

آرد – نمک و بیکینگ سودا را هم به مواد بالا اضافه کردم و با همزن برقی هم زدم. وقتی خمیر بیسکویت آماده شددر 5-4 پیاله خمیر را تقسیمش کردم.

برای رنگ کردن خمیر ها روی هر خمیر کمی رنگ مجاز خوراکی ریختم و هم زدم تا خمیر رنگ بشه.

روی سینی فر را با کاغذ روغنی پوشوندم و با استفاده از قاشق بستنی خمیر ها را روی سینی می چینم. می تونیم از هر رنگ خمیر بیسکویت داشته باشیم و یا از هر کدام از خمیرها کمی کنار هم گذاشته و رنگارنگش کنیم.روی خمیر ها مقداری اسمارتیز و خرد ه شکلات میگذاریم.

سینی را داخل فر میگذاریم تا برای 12-10 دقیقه بپزند.

این بیسکویت ها برای یک هفته همچنان تازه هستند وحتی میشه فریز کرد برای چند وقت بعد.

Iranian food is a celebration of flavor, colour and spices such as: saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, dried rose petals, dried limes, cumin, .... I share my recipes in Farsi/English along with step by step photos of preparation. I take all my own pictures. I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
