Home made soda bread

It’s first time I made Soda bread. It was easy, quick and delirious.



450g plain flouru

1tsp baking soda

1tsp salt

350ml butter milk



Preheat the oven to 200C. Line the baking sheet with baking paper.

Mix flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Pour butter milk in the well and mix it with hand.


You should have a slightly sticky dough. Pour the dough inside the baking sheet . Cut a cross into top with a knife. Bake it for 35 minutes until is golden brown. Cool the loaf and then slice it.

نان خانگی یا سودا برد

این نون خونگی رو اولین بار هست که درست کردم در انگلیسی بهش سودا برد میکن. یکی از آسونترین و سریع‌ترین نانهایی هست که میشه فوری در خانه درست کرد.


مواد اولیه

چهارصدوپنجاه گرم آرد سفید

یک ق چ جوش شیرین

یک ق چ نمک


سیصدوپنجاه میلی لیتر باتر میلک یا پس آب کره :اگر توخونه نداشتید درپست بعدی طرز تهیه اش رو میگذارم مثل آب خوردن در۱۵ دقیقه می تونید درست کنید


طرز تهیه

فر را روی حرارت ۲۰۰درجه سانتیگراد گرم می کنیم.

آرد را با نمک و جوش شیرین مخلوط می کنیم. وسط آرد یک گودی درست می‌کنیم و باتر میلک رو میریزیم و همه ی مواد را با هم خوب مخلوط می کنیم. باید یک خمیر چسبناک داشته باشیم.


داخل قالب کیک را با کاغذ آشپزی می پوشانیم و خمیر رو تو قالب می ریزیم. روی خمیر رو با یک چاقو علامت به اضافه می کشیم.

خمیر رو داخل فر میگذاریم تا برای ۳۵ دقیقه بپزه.

وقتی حاضر شد میگذاریم کمی سرد بشه و از قالب خارج می‌کنیم و نون رو برش میدیم. یک نون خوشمزه با کره و چی یا با سوپ عالی میشه.

I share my recipes in Farsi/English along with step by step photos of preparation. I take all my own pictures. I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
