Country Bread

In my family we do love any kind of breads and cheeses. Persian bread such as flat breads or Indian breads, French or German breads. All are so beautiful.
Today, I baked my country bread. This delicious and beautiful bread with crunchy outside and soft inside is pretty easy to bake, even a child can bake it and it does not need to knead at all.

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups warm water
1 ¼ Tsp salt
¼ Tsp dried yeast


In a large bowl with flour, add salt and yeast. Mix together. Add warm water. Using a spoon, combine all ingredients together and make sure all come together. Now, you have sticky dough.

Cover and store at room temperature for 18 hours.
Next day, preheat the oven at 230 C.

Flour surface working table and your hands as well. Gently, put the dough onto the flour surface. Sprinkle a little flour top of the dough. Gently fold the dough over and rolling round and give a ball shape ( Do NOT KNEAD).

Sprinkle flour on the parchment paper. Place the dough right on the flour, sprinkle a little bit more flour top of the dough. Cover it with a kitchen towel for 30 minutes and let to rest.


Meanwhile, put a Dutch oven inside the oven and let to heat for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, transfer the dough to the hot pot, cover the pot with a lid. Bake for 30 minutes.
30 minutes later, remove the lid and leave to bake for 5-15 minutes longer or until it is golden crust.
Bread is ready: it’s gorgeous, tasty and what else!!
